Price Performance

Basis of our Recommendation

Blue Star Limited's management has articulated a growth-oriented strategy, focusing on market share retention in the Unitary Products segment despite facing significant margin pressures from commodity inflation and competitive pricing. The company's strategic pivot towards the high-growth data center MEP business is expected to become a structural revenue pillar, potentially contributing 20% of total revenue by FY29. Vista's financial outlook reflects an anticipated acceleration in revenue growth beyond historical trends, although margins are projected to remain under pressure due to input cost volatility and competitive dynamics. The company's strong cash position and ongoing investments in capacity and digital capabilities support this outlook, despite execution risks tied to project finalizations and international trade tariffs. The broader consumer durables and electronics industry is experiencing steady growth, bolstered by increasing consumer spending and technological advancements, although competitive pricing pressures persist. Over the next 12-24 months, key opportunities include expanding market share in the RAC segment and capitalizing on the structural growth in data centers, while watchpoints include potential supply chain disruptions and the impact of geopolitical uncertainties on margins

Analysts' Viewpoint
Blue Star's strategic shift towards the data-centre MEP business, with a robust order book and significant market share, is a key growth driver. Analysts highlight the company's strong cash position and expansion in the heat-pump market as positives. However, margin pressures in the Unitary Products segment due to input cost inflation and competitive pricing, along with execution risks in international markets, pose challenges. Future catalysts include targeted revenue growth from exports and increased capacity at the Sri City facility to support demand and margin improvement.
