Dalmia Bharat Sugar's management has indicated a stable revenue outlook, consistent with historical performance, while profitability is expected to improve as margins expand. This aligns with Vista's forecast of stable revenue growth and improving margins, supported by a strong balance sheet characterized by manageable leverage and healthy cash flow generation. The sugar industry is currently experiencing expanding growth, with improving pricing power, although challenges such as rising input costs and government export restrictions could pressure margins. The macroeconomic environment in India remains favorable, with robust growth and contained inflation, which bodes well for consumer demand. However, the cautious investor sentiment reflected in recent trading suggests that while the fundamentals are sound, external factors may temper expectations. Over the next 12-24 months, key opportunities lie in the ethanol blending sector, which could enhance revenue streams, but watchpoints include potential margin pressures from rising cane costs and policy unpredictability. Overall, while the outlook remains cautiously optimistic, the current valuation appears fair, and the recommendation reflects a sell stance due to limited expected upside in the near term
