IDBI Bank's management has articulated a cautious yet growth-oriented outlook, emphasizing resilience and long-term value creation amid global economic uncertainties. The bank's strategic focus on digital transformation and financial inclusion is expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve retail asset quality, which are critical for sustaining revenue growth. Vista's forecast reflects an early recovery in revenue, supported by management's target of 12-13% business expansion while maintaining stringent asset quality metrics. However, margins are anticipated to remain under pressure due to competitive pricing dynamics within the small and medium PSU banking sector. The macroeconomic environment in India, characterized by robust growth and favorable liquidity conditions, further supports IDBI's outlook. Over the next 12-24 months, key opportunities include leveraging fintech partnerships to scale retail lending and maintaining a strong capital buffer. Conversely, watchpoints include potential macroeconomic volatility, evolving regulatory landscapes, and the execution risks associated with technology integration. Overall, Vista's valuation indicates that IDBI Bank is attractively priced relative to its intrinsic value, with a target price of approximately 98.15 over the next 12 months
