Kiri Industries is navigating a pivotal transition following the resolution of its long-standing DyStar legal dispute, which has enabled a strategic shift towards a substantial INR 13,300 crore investment in a greenfield copper and fertilizer project. Management's focus on vertical integration aims to enhance cost competitiveness and margin stability, particularly as the core chemical business shows signs of volume recovery amid favorable supply dynamics. However, the company's revenue is expected to contract over the forecast period, reflecting ongoing margin pressures and a conservative financial stance, including the suspension of dividends to prioritize cash for project execution. Vista's financial outlook anticipates continued long-term growth, albeit with significant execution risks associated with the complex project. The macro environment remains supportive, with strong domestic demand for copper driven by electrification trends, yet the reliance on imported raw materials and the need for substantial capacity utilization pose challenges. Over the next 12-24 months, key opportunities include leveraging domestic demand for copper and fertilizers, while watchpoints include the execution complexity of the greenfield project and potential market timing risks
