Price Performance

Basis of our Recommendation

L.G. Balakrishnan & Bros Limited (LGB) is navigating a complex landscape marked by both opportunities and challenges. Management has emphasized a commitment to operational efficiency and sustainability, particularly through investments in renewable energy, which are expected to mitigate rising power costs and enhance margins over time. The company's focus on R&D for product innovation aligns with the industry's shift towards electric vehicles, positioning LGB favorably within a growing market. However, the company faces headwinds from new national labor codes and increased foreign exchange exposure, which could pressure margins. Vista's financial outlook reflects moderating revenue growth and ongoing margin pressures, with a fair valuation indicating that current prices are aligned with intrinsic value. The expected upside remains modest, with a 12-month target price of approximately 1599. The broader auto ancillaries sector is experiencing a sunrise phase, driven by EV adoption and supportive government policies, although global sales declines and commodity inflation present risks. Over the next 12-24 months, LGB's strategic initiatives and market positioning will be critical in navigating these dynamics, with opportunities in EV-related products and challenges from regulatory changes and cost pressures
