Price Performance

Basis of our Recommendation

Mukand Ltd's recent performance and outlook are shaped by a combination of management insights and industry dynamics. While management has not provided recent updates, the broader iron and steel industry is experiencing an expansion phase, driven by improving pricing power and rising demand for hot-rolled coil (HRC) products. This context is crucial as Mukand's revenue is expected to contract over the forecast period, yet profitability is anticipated to improve due to expanding margins. The company's competitive position remains stable, with a market share of approximately 0.67%, indicating a consistent presence in a fragmented market. Vista's financial outlook reflects these dynamics, projecting a slight revenue decline but improved margins, suggesting that operational efficiencies may offset top-line challenges. The valuation indicates a growth perspective, albeit categorized as a value trap, highlighting the need for cautious investment. Macro conditions in India, including robust manufacturing activity and favorable liquidity, support the industry's growth potential. However, watchpoints include geopolitical tensions and input cost volatility, which could impact margins. Over the next 12-24 months, Mukand's ability to navigate these challenges while capitalizing on domestic demand will be critical to its performance
