Price Performance

Basis of our Recommendation

Orkla India is navigating a transformative phase, shifting from a commodity-dependent model to a growth-oriented strategy focused on digital commerce and channel diversification. Management's commentary highlights a return to double-digit revenue growth, driven by strong performance in modern trade and international markets, particularly in the GCC region. However, near-term margins are under pressure due to commodity inflation and ongoing investments in distribution restructuring through 'Project Bolt'. Vista's financial outlook reflects stable revenue growth and margins, supported by the company's strategic focus on product innovation and premiumization. The expected upside of approximately 11.8% aligns with the company's fair valuation, indicating a cautious yet optimistic market sentiment. Industry dynamics, including competitive pricing pressures and rising input costs, present challenges, but the overall FMCG sector remains resilient, with a projected growth trajectory. Over the next 12-24 months, key opportunities include expanding the convenience foods portfolio and enhancing digital engagement, while watchpoints include managing input cost volatility and geopolitical supply chain disruptions
