Basis of our Recommendation

PNC Infratech's recent management commentary highlights a robust order book and a strategic diversification into high-growth sectors such as solar energy and water infrastructure, which are expected to drive revenue growth over the next 12-24 months. The company's proactive capital recycling strategy, including the divestment of road assets, aims to enhance capital efficiency and support its ambitious revenue targets of Rs. 8,000-10,000 Cr. Despite facing margin pressures and regulatory challenges, management remains confident in achieving its FY27/FY28 goals, supported by a strong balance sheet and improved working capital management. Vista's financial outlook reflects this optimism, projecting revenue recovery and margin improvement, with an expected upside of nearly 30%. The favorable macro environment, characterized by strong government capex and a recovering infrastructure sector, further supports PNC Infratech's growth trajectory. Key opportunities include the commissioning of new projects and ongoing diversification efforts, while watchpoints include regulatory outcomes and competitive pricing pressures. Overall, PNC Infratech is well-positioned for moderate growth, with a focus on leveraging its diversified project pipeline and execution capabilities

Analysts' Viewpoint
PNC Infratech is supported by a strong order book of INR 191 billion, providing revenue visibility for the next 2-3 years, and a diversification strategy into sectors like power transmission and water. Analysts highlight the potential for improved working capital as receivables are cleared, although regulatory issues related to the Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway and high working capital intensity remain concerns. The commencement of a 2 GW solar EPC project and receivable collections from Andhra Pradesh are seen as key future catalysts.
