Price Performance

Basis of our Recommendation

Triveni Engineering & Industries is poised for a transformative period, particularly with the anticipated demerger of its Power Transmission Business (PTB) into a separate entity, TPTL, expected by August 2026. This strategic move is designed to unlock value and sharpen focus on core operations, which management believes will enhance revenue growth and market positioning. The robust order book and strong export pipeline for PTB, alongside a thriving distillery business driven by increasing ethanol demand, are key growth drivers. Despite a forecasted contraction in overall revenue, margins are expected to improve due to favorable pricing dynamics in the sugar segment, supported by lower closing stock estimates and potential government interventions. The macro environment remains supportive, with stable inflation and favorable liquidity conditions, although rising cane prices pose a risk to short-term working capital. Over the next 12-24 months, opportunities lie in the expansion of the distillery and water businesses, while headwinds include government policy volatility and input cost pressures. Overall, Vista's financial outlook reflects a cautious optimism, with a target price indicating a modest upside potential

👍 Why We Like This Stock

  • The demerger of the Power Transmission Business is expected to unlock value and enhance strategic focus
  • Strong demand for ethanol and a robust order book for PTB are anticipated to drive revenue growth
  • Improving pricing power in the sugar segment is likely to support margin expansion

Things To Watch Out For

  • Overall revenue is forecasted to contract, presenting challenges for top-line growth
  • Volatility in government policies regarding ethanol feedstock could impact operational stability
  • Rising cane prices may exert short-term pressure on working capital and margins
