Basis of our Recommendation

Universal Cables Limited is well-positioned to capitalize on India's burgeoning transmission and distribution capital expenditure cycle, bolstered by government initiatives in renewable energy and infrastructure modernization. Management's focus on transitioning towards high-value products, such as HTLS conductors and capacitor banks, is expected to enhance revenue growth and margins. Despite facing challenges from raw material price volatility and execution risks related to government project payment cycles, the company's proactive measures, including hedging strategies, are designed to mitigate these impacts. Vista's financial outlook reflects stable revenue growth and margins, supported by a robust balance sheet and fair valuation metrics. The expected upside aligns with the company's strategic initiatives and the favorable macroeconomic environment, characterized by strong manufacturing activity and contained inflation. Over the next 12-24 months, key opportunities include expanding market share through innovative product offerings and leveraging government spending on infrastructure. However, watchpoints include potential regulatory challenges and ongoing raw material price fluctuations that could impact profitability
