Basis of our Recommendation

Varroc Engineering is strategically pivoting towards electric vehicle (EV) components, with management emphasizing a focus on Safe, Smart, and Sustainable technologies. This shift is supported by a robust order book, with 55% of new orders linked to EVs, which positions the company favorably for future revenue growth. Despite facing short-term margin pressures due to commodity inflation and the costs associated with transitioning away from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) solutions, management anticipates improved margins in FY 2027 as operational efficiencies are realized. Vista's financial outlook reflects stable revenue growth and margins, underpinned by the company's disciplined capital allocation and focus on high-growth segments. The macro environment in India, characterized by strong auto sales and favorable liquidity conditions, further supports Varroc's growth trajectory. Over the next 12-24 months, key opportunities include expanding its EV product offerings and enhancing operational efficiencies, while watchpoints include the execution of its diversification strategy and potential margin pressures from ongoing commodity costs

Varroc Engineering's successful transition to electric vehicle components, including a significant increase in Content Per Vehicle for electric two-wheelers, positions it well for future growth. The company's strong lifetime order book, heavily weighted towards EVs, indicates substantial revenue potential. However, recent profitability has been impacted by exceptional costs related to a China JV exit and a merger. The company's ability to convert its EV order book into revenue and secure new overseas business will be crucial for sustained growth and market confidence.
